Free Fishing Weekend!

The UP Sandstormers invite you to join us Saturday, February 13th, for some ice fishing!  The DNR are offering free fishing for the weekend so no fishing license is needed.  Depending on ice conditions, the location is tentatively set for Kipling Boat Launch just north of Gladstone.  Meeting time will be 10am at the boat launch, with fishing concluding around 4pm.  Lunch will be provided.  Please email if you are interested in joining us.  Direct questions to Nick Zambon at (906)236-3241.  Come out and have some fun!

Meeting Location Update

At August’s meeting, it was collectively decided that meetings will only be held at the Sands Township Hall.  However, we will have our December meeting at the Little Lake Legion to continue supporting their Children’s Christmas Party.  Again, that will be our only meeting held in Little Lake for the remainder of the year.  Be sure to note this change!

New “Member Incentives” starting off 2015!

We are trying something new as the Sandstormer Club this year, and hope everyone takes advantage! This year, working one event (trail cleaning, enduro, mini moose, fun ride, etc.), you will be eligible for $10 off 2016′s member dues. Working a second event gets you another $15 off your 2016 member dues.  So, to put it simply, if you are a member for 2015, help with two events, your 2016 member dues will be free!  We hope to see some new faces at our events this year!

Another incentive for 2015 has to do with hours logged at these events.  If you work 25 hours on the trail or helping out in some way over the course of this year’s events, you will be eligible for a $100 gift card redeemable at Zambon’s North Country Sales in Marquette. These hours need to be logged by you, and approved by Secretary Jeff Magowan or any Club Officer.  Only one gift card is awarded per person, but feel free to continue to help out the club after your 25 hours!  We hope this sparks some interest to come out and participate in this years events!
