The 2024 Mad Moose Hard Enduro, Round 5 of the AMA East Hard Enduro Series will be held again in Marquette, Michigan on October 12th 2024.

Staging area entrance is on County Road 480, 2.8 miles west of the County Road 553 Intersection. This intersection is about 6 miles south of Marquette Michigan, known locally as the “Crossroads” intersection.

General

The Mad Moose Hard Enduro is a points-paying Championship Round of the AMA Hard Enduro – East Series. Points from this event wiil accumulate toward the Series Championship. The event will be held on private land by the UP Sandstormers Motorcycle Club. The event is sanctioned by the American Motorcyclist Association. This will be the third Mad Moose Hard Enduro event that the Sandstormers have hosted, along with 20+ regular and NEPG Enduro events. We are proud of our contributions to the sport of off-road motorcycling, and we appreciate our many sponsors that help us financially towards our continuing to contribute to the sport. We will be following AMA Hard Enduro Series Rules. Note the numbering schemes are required

Format

The event will consist of an approximately 14 mile loop with 4 splits for Pro, Open 4 Stroke, A Class, A 30+, A 40+, and A 50+. The course will be run for two loops, or for four hours, whichever comes first. There will be various checkpoints for scoring and for course confirmation. There will be a gas available/pit area at the end of the first loop. There will be NO PRE-INSPECTION or preview of the course available.

Parking and Staging Area

There is LIMITED rustic camping available at the Staging Area. There will be room for parking at the staging area

There will be designated areas for Pros and Vendors.

Camping and Accomodations

There is LIMITED rustic camping available at the Staging Area. There are several campgrounds nearby – https://chocolayrivercamping.com/ and https://www.ripplingriverresort.com/ are the closest to the event location.

There will be area for teams to set up a pit vehicle, etc. There will also be area for vehicles at the Gas Available.

Please see Travel Marquette for Hotel and Campground information. There is a Pro Rally automobile racing event in Marquette (Lake Superior Pro Rally) the same weekend, so make your reservations early!

Spectators

Spectators are welcome! Please respect the riders and do not interfere or assist in any way. We will have maps to designated spectator areas. A bicycle would be a great way to get to and from the spectator spots!

Registration and Riders Meeting

Pre-registration ONLY.

We will be using the Moto-Tally scoring system.

You will need to check in and get your RFID programmed prior to the race start. There will be a registration tent at the staging area. You will be able to register Friday evening 4pm to 8pm, and Saturday morning 7:30am to 8:15am.

Riders meeting will be held at the registration tent at 8:15 am.

Scoring and Trophy Presentation

It is anticipated the Awards Presentation will be at 2:30pm.
